Overview
- The Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test will be held in computer‑based mode from Aug. 5 to Aug. 16 across 22 sessions.
- Organisers have set up 103 centres to run the exam, with 91 inside Andhra Pradesh and 12 in neighbouring states including Telangana, Chennai, Karnataka and Berhampur.
- A total of 214,486 candidates submitted 238,252 applications, and 74,711 in‑service teachers accounted for 84,798 of those applications.
- Hall tickets were released before the start of the tests and candidates must bring the hall ticket plus one government photo ID and arrive at least an hour early for their session.
- The expanded centre network and CBT format are intended to ease pressure on local centres and let cross‑border applicants sit the test, which should speed up recruitment for government and aided schools.
