Overview
- Energy Minister G. Ravi Kumar launched the programme on December 22 at Mogarala in Pakala mandal, Tirupati district.
- Officials from field staff to senior officers will visit selected villages every Tuesday and Friday to meet consumers and resolve issues on the spot.
- Planned works include inspecting 11 kV, LT and agricultural lines, correcting hanging wires, replacing damaged or leaning poles, raising transformer plinths, adding fencing and taking safety measures at schools and Anganwadis.
- A new 33/11 kV substation at Mogarala was inaugurated to address low-voltage problems, with reported construction costs differing between ₹4.09 crore and ₹4.50 crore.
- APSPDCL said it would issue 50 compassionate appointment letters in Tirupati, with the minister to hand them over at the corporate office.
