Applications Open for CM SHRI Schools Admission Test in Delhi

Prospective candidates can apply through August 15 for the August 30 OMR-based test that holds at least half its seats for government school students.

Overview

  • The Directorate of Education published detailed guidelines on July 30 and opened the online portal for CM SHRI School applications until August 15.
  • The 150-minute, bilingual OMR exam on August 30 will test Hindi, English, general awareness, mental ability and numerical aptitude without negative marking and with extra time for CWSN candidates.
  • Delhi residents enrolled in Classes 6–8 at recognised city schools are eligible, and at least 50 percent of seats are reserved for government or aided school students with a 5 percent marks relaxation for SC/ST/OBC (non-creamy layer) and CWSN applicants.
  • CM SHRI schools, designated 'Specified Category' under the RTE Act, will feature sustainable, zero-waste, solar-powered campuses with AI libraries, AR/VR smart classrooms, robotics labs and biometric attendance aligned with NEP 2020 and NCF 2023.
  • Admit cards will be issued from August 23, results announced on September 10 and admissions finalized by September 15 ahead of the first cohort’s September inauguration and the transition from DBSE to CBSE affiliation.
