Apple's Shazam Introduces Concert Recommendations Feature, Offers Event Alerts and Ticket Purchases

Apple has introduced a new 'Concerts' feature in the iOS version of the Shazam app, offering personalized live event recommendations based on a user's music history and location.
The new feature allows users to filter concerts by location, save interested ones, receive information about the venue, and purchase event tickets directly from the Shazam app.
The 'Concerts' feature also provides the options to save events in the app, add them to one's calendar, and offers music from the performing artist, which can be played on Shazam or redirected to Apple Music or Spotify.
The 'Concerts' feature utilizes data from the Bandsintown platform, who licensed its data to Apple in 2022; this data already integrates into other iOS services such as Spotlight Search, Apple's Music and Maps apps.
The Shazam Concerts feature also includes artist exclusives such as new Watch faces and wallpapers, behind the scenes video, tour photos and set lists, and it works with Spotlight in iOS 17 to surface concert and ticket information.
