Overview

  • Users tap the “123” icon in Wallet, authenticate with Face ID or a passcode, select Add Physical Card Information and enter name, number, expiry date and security code to save a card.
  • All entered card information is encrypted in iCloud Keychain and kept separate from Apple Pay tokenization to prevent unauthorized transactions.
  • Accessing stored details always requires biometric or passcode authentication to safeguard sensitive data on-device and in the cloud.
  • The feature transforms Wallet into a more comprehensive card manager, reducing reliance on third-party tools like 1Password for quick card reference.
  • The capability is available now in the iOS 26 public beta and is scheduled to ship to all users with the full iOS 26 release in September.
