Apple Watch Ultra 2, set to switch from OLED to microLED, is expected to be released in 2026, later than previously estimated.
The new microLED display will be about 10% larger and cost 2.5 to 3 times more than the current OLED display.
The new display's tiny chip will come from German LED maker ams OSRAM, and its panel will come from South Korea’s LG Display.
Apple has been working on microLED display technology for about 10 years and plans to replace other types of screens across its product range.
