Overview
- Apple Wallet’s digital passport feature lets U.S. users store their passport for TSA checkpoints and age verification in apps but still requires a physical passport for international travel and border control.
- Boarding passes in iOS 26 will integrate terminal maps, Live Activities for real-time flight status, and Find My support for tracking AirTagged luggage.
- Verify with Wallet on the Web offers end-to-end encrypted identity and age checks in Safari and other browsers without uploading photos of licenses, initially supported by U.S. Bank, Uber Eats, Turo and Chime.
- A new package tracking capability uses Apple Intelligence to scan emails for merchant and courier tracking numbers, automatically adding delivery cards and sending status notifications in Wallet.
- Apple plans to open an iOS 26 public beta in July ahead of a full release in September, extending Wallet’s functionality across travel, online verification and shopping workflows.
