Overview
- Apple provided developers with an updated iOS26 beta that remedies early power-consumption issues on iPhone15 and iPhone16 models.
- The first iOS18.6 beta is now available as the final planned update in the iOS18 cycle before this fall’s major release.
- New x.6 betas for macOS15.6, visionOS2.6, tvOS18.6 and watchOS11.6 have also been seeded, focusing on bug fixes and performance improvements.
- iOS26 and iPadOS26, due mid-September, introduce the Liquid Glass design, Live Translation, AI-powered Siri, call screening, custom messaging backgrounds and Mac-style window management on iPad.
- Support for iOS26 and iPadOS26 will be limited to iPhone12 series and newer and iPad8th generation and later, leaving older devices without the upgrade.
