Apple Unveils New AirPods 4 and Updates AirPods Pro 2 with Hearing Aid Features

Apple's latest AirPods 4 models offer active noise cancellation at a lower price point, while the AirPods Pro 2 receive a firmware update to function as hearing aids.

Apple introduced two new AirPods 4 models, one with active noise cancellation (ANC) and one without, priced at $179 and $129 respectively.
The AirPods 4 are powered by the H2 chip, offering features like spatial audio with dynamic head tracking and voice isolation.
The AirPods Pro 2 will receive a firmware update allowing them to function as over-the-counter hearing aids for users with low to moderate hearing loss.
AirPods Pro 2 also gain a new hearing protection feature that muffles loud sounds in the environment, analyzing noise at 48,000 times per second.
Despite the new AirPods 4 features, the AirPods Max remain unchanged in terms of hardware, retaining the older H1 chip and a high price tag of $549.
