Overview

• Developers can access the newly named iOS26, iPadOS26, macOS26 Tahoe, watchOS26, tvOS26 and visionOS26 today in beta, with public betas arriving in July and a broad release scheduled for September 2025.
• The Liquid Glass design language adds semi-transparent buttons, widgets and menus to unify the look and feel across iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watch, Apple TV and Vision Pro.
• Apple Intelligence embeds on-device AI features such as live translation, image generation and intelligent messaging throughout all operating systems and opens its frameworks to third-party developers.
• iOS26 features a revamped Phone app with a combined view of recents, favorites and voicemails, Call Screening, Hold Assist and a new Games app for tracking achievements and competing with friends.
• iPadOS26 introduces a full windowing system and a redesigned menu bar for enhanced multitasking, while macOS26 Tahoe debuts a more powerful Spotlight search with direct actions and improved file filtering.
