- Apple announced its first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo, and new iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max during its Sept. 9–10 event with specific release windows and reservation dates.
- The iPhone Duo uses an outer 5.4-inch display and a 7.6-inch horizontal inner display, a dual‑battery design that Apple says supports up to 31 hours inner and 44 hours outer video playback, and it supports Apple Pencil and Touch ID.
- Apple set iPhone Duo reservations to start Oct. 16 with sales from Oct. 23 in Japan and listed a starting price of ¥364,800 for the 256GB model.
