Apple Unveils iPhone 17 Lineup With Ultra‑Thin iPhone Air as Preorders Start Sept. 12

  • Apple announced four phones — iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max — with U.S. starting prices of $799, $999, $1,099 and $1,199, respectively, with deliveries beginning Sept. 19.
  • The new iPhone Air is 5.6 mm thin with a titanium design, a single 48MP rear camera, eSIM‑only support and a 6.5‑inch ProMotion display starting at $999.
  • The standard iPhone 17 adds a 6.3‑inch Super Retina XDR screen with 120Hz ProMotion, the A19 chip, dual 48MP rear cameras, Ceramic Shield 2 and up to 3,000 nits peak brightness.
  • iPhone 17 Pro models run on the A19 Pro chip, feature three 48MP Fusion cameras with up to 8x optical‑like zoom, a redesigned horizontal camera bar and a new vapor‑chamber thermal system.
