• The trailer previews Hawaiian warrior Ka‘iana’s quest to unite island tribes against Western colonizers in the late 18th century.
• Jason Momoa and Thomas Pa‘a Sibbett co-created and executive produced the nine-episode series, with Momoa also directing the season finale.
• A predominantly Polynesian ensemble led by Momoa features Temuera Morrison, Luciane Buchanan, Te Ao o Hinepehinga, Cliff Curtis and newcomer Kaina Makua.
• Chief of War is produced by Fifth Season and Chernin Entertainment with a musical score composed by Hans Zimmer and James Everingham under showrunner Doug Jung.
