Apple TV+ Unveils 'The Last of the Sea Women' Documentary Trailer

The film chronicles the lives of South Korea’s haenyeo divers as they fight to preserve their endangered way of life.

The documentary is produced by Malala Yousafzai and directed by Sue Kim.
Haenyeo, often called 'real-life mermaids,' are elderly women who dive without oxygen to harvest seafood.
The tradition is threatened by industrialization, pollution, and climate change.
The film will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 8.
Streaming on Apple TV+ starts October 11.
