  • Apple TV+ released the first teaser trailer for The Lost Bus on June 8, showcasing tense scenes of a bus driver answering a radio call as towering infernos close in.
  • Matthew McConaughey stars as school bus driver Kevin McKay and America Ferrera plays teacher Mary Ludwig leading 22 children to safety in the deadliest wildfire in California history.
  • The film adapts Lizzie Johnson’s nonfiction book Paradise: One Town’s Struggle to Survive an American Wildfire, depicting a blaze that killed 85 people, displaced 50,000 residents and scorched 153,000 acres.
  • Paul Greengrass directs and co-wrote the screenplay with Brad Ingelsby, with production by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse Productions and Jamie Lee Curtis’s Comet Pictures alongside executive producer Lizzie Johnson.
  • The Lost Bus is slated to premiere in select theaters and begin streaming on Apple TV+ in fall 2025.
