Overview

• Apple TV+ ordered The Off Weeks as an eight-episode limited series led by Ben Stiller and Jessica Chastain, who also serve as executive producers.
• The series follows divorced writing professor Gus Adler during custody "on weeks" and a risky romance with the mysterious Stella West during "off weeks."
• Michael Showalter will direct and executive produce, with Alissa Nutting serving as showrunner and executive producer.
• The project is produced for Apple TV+ by wiip, developed with Showalter’s Semi-Formal, with additional executive producers from Red Hour, Freckle Films, Artists First, and others.
• Filming has not begun and no release timing was announced, as Apple highlights near-term titles featuring the leads including Chastain’s The Savant on September 26 and Stiller’s documentary in October.
