Overview

• Apple has ordered an eight-episode limited series led by Ben Stiller and Jessica Chastain, who will also serve as executive producers.
• Michael Showalter will direct and executive produce, with Alissa Nutting as showrunner.
• The series follows divorced writing professor Gus Adler during custody “on weeks” and a perilous romance with Stella West in his “off weeks.”
• The Off Weeks is produced for Apple TV+ by wiip, with Red Hour, Freckle Films, Semi-Formal Productions and Artists First among the executive producing partners.
• The project remains in pre-production with no filming start or premiere date announced, extending Apple TV+ ties to Stiller of Severance and to Chastain of The Savant, along with Stiller’s upcoming documentary.
