While hardware specs remain largely under wraps, the shift to the A18 Pro processor marks a significant departure from Apple’s norm.

Overview

  • The new MacBook will be the first in Apple’s lineup to integrate an iPhone-grade A18 Pro processor in a 13-inch chassis.
  • Production is slated to begin in late fourth quarter 2025 or early first quarter 2026, according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.
  • Apple plans colorful casing options—silver, blue, pink and yellow—to differentiate the entry-level model from the more muted MacBook Air.
  • Everwin Precision is expected to supply the device’s casings, leveraging Apple’s existing iPhone component partners.
  • The company projects the A18 Pro MacBook will account for 5–7 million unit shipments in 2026 to support its goal of returning to roughly 25 million MacBook sales.
