Apple to Introduce In-House 5G Modems in 2025 iPhone Models

The iPhone SE 4 and an ultra-slim iPhone 17 will be the first to feature Apple's custom 5G technology, moving away from Qualcomm.

The iPhone SE 4 is expected to launch in Q1 2025, followed by the iPhone 17 Slim in Q3 2025.
Other iPhone 17 models will still use Qualcomm's 5G modems, with a full transition expected by 2026.
Apple's shift aims to reduce reliance on Qualcomm and cut costs.
The development of the in-house 5G modem builds on technology acquired from Intel in 2019.
