  • Apple has started testing ByteDance’s Douyin Pay in its mainland App Store, according to reports by IThome and MyDrivers cited by the South China Morning Post.
  • Douyin Pay launched in January 2021 within ByteDance’s Douyin platform and now serves roughly 766.5 million monthly users with bank linking, livestream shopping and in-app transactions.
