Apple Set to Unveil M3 iMac and MacBook Pro Models at Scary Fast Event

Apple is preparing to launch a new M-series chipset, the M3, which will power the next-gen Mac hardware including a new M3 iMac and 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro versions running on the M3 Pro and M3 Max chips.
The base M3 chip is claimed to outperform the A17 Pro, which powers the iPhone 15 Pros, and could therefore turn the M3 MacBook Air into a powerful gaming device, hence the 'Scary Fast' event is speculated to have gaming-related announcements.
Apple's online 'Scary Fast' event will be held at an unusual time to fall within Japanese business hours, hinting at a collaboration involving Apple and Japanese game developer, Capcom.
Capcom announced that 'Resident Evil Village' will be available on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPads powered by M1 chips or newer starting October 30th — the same date as Apple's 'Scary Fast' event.
The release of M3 chips is expected to significantly boost performance over previous versions, prompting speculation that, along with the new 24-inch iMac, new 14- and-16-inch M3 Pro and M3 Max MacBook Pro models will be unveiled at Monday's event.
