The current models of these devices feature a standard 60Hz refresh rate, making this a significant potential upgrade.
An anonymous source disclosed these plans on the Upgrade podcast, indicating a rollout beginning with the M3 iPad Air.
Industry analyst Ross Young previously noted that Apple had canceled a project for a 27-inch monitor with mini-LED backlighting and 120Hz ProMotion technology.
The rumored 90Hz display technology is expected to debut in early 2025, with the iMac update likely not occurring until late 2025.
