Overview
- Apple seeded third developer betas for iOS 27.2, iPadOS 27.2, macOS Golden Gate 27.2, watchOS 27.2, tvOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2 on Monday with explicit build identifiers such as iOS 27.2 beta 3 24B5099f.
- The 27.2 betas surface a redesigned Health app with new Insights and Longevity tabs and a readiness score that leverages data from the Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 models.
- Siri AI is expanding beyond U.S. English to add French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish across platforms while the betas also show cross‑platform features like Dual Capture for FaceTime and Apple TV profiles on iPhone.
- Apple is skipping a broad public 27.1 cycle because iOS 27.1 is being held for the foldable iPhone Duo, which is scheduled to ship on October 23.
- Developers can install the new builds through Settings > General > Software Update and Apple is following a roughly two‑week beta cadence with public betas expected to follow soon, so testers are advised to use non‑primary hardware.
