Apple Renames Apple TV+ to Apple TV and Unveils Finneas-Composed Intro

Deployment remains partial, with wording changes expected in forthcoming 26.1 software updates.

Overview

  • Apple updated its website and released a short launch video confirming the Apple TV+ rebrand to Apple TV with the message “This is just the beginning.”
  • The new title card features a colorful animated Apple TV logo paired with a mnemonic created by Finneas that Apple says will play before every Apple Original.
  • Finneas told Variety there are three versions of the sound: a five-second main cue, a one-second sting for trailers, and a roughly 12-second theatrical version.
  • The rollout is still uneven across platforms, with some apps and advertising still showing Apple TV+, and wording updates are expected with iOS, iPadOS, tvOS, and macOS 26.1 releases.
  • Apple also showcased a refreshed Apple One banner on the Apple TV page, featuring a multi-colored, stacked-slice Apple logo graphic.
