Apple Removes Non-Compliant Apps from EU App Store Following DSA Deadline

Apple has removed apps from the EU App Store that failed to provide verified trader contact information by the February 17, 2025 deadline.
The requirement is part of the EU's Digital Services Act, which mandates that developers making revenue through their apps disclose their address, phone number, and email to consumers.
Apps affected by the removal will remain unavailable until developers submit and verify their contact details via Apple’s App Store Connect platform.
Smaller and independent developers have faced challenges complying with the rules, often needing to use virtual addresses or phone numbers to protect their privacy.
The trader information is now displayed on app product pages in the EU App Store, providing transparency for users across the 27 EU member states.
