  • Third public betas of iOS 26, iPadOS 26, watchOS 26, tvOS 26 and macOS Tahoe roll out to Apple Beta Software Program participants, matching the sixth developer beta builds.
  • The Liquid Glass design sees further tuning with more translucent lock screens, revamped navigation bars and smoother system animations for improved readability.
  • On-device Apple Intelligence features expand across platforms to include Visual Intelligence for screenshots, Live Translation in Messages/Phone/FaceTime, Image Playground and Genmoji, plus watchOS tools like Workout Buddy and Notes.
  • Communication and safety controls are enhanced with Call Screening, Hold Assist, spam text filtering, group chat polls in Messages, FaceTime nudity-detection pauses and a new Phone app on Mac.
  • Public beta participants can install updates via Settings > Software Update on enrolled devices—including most iPhones from 2019 onward (excluding XR/XS/XS Max), iPads, Apple Watches and Apple TVs—with a full launch expected in September and advanced AI features reserved for newer Pro hardware.
