Overview

  • Apple issued new firmware for the 140W USB‑C Power Adapter, Magic Trackpad 2, the USB‑C Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard with Touch ID models, including the Numeric Keypad version.
  • After updating, the USB‑C Magic Trackpad and USB‑C Magic Keyboards report firmware version 3.1.9.
  • Magic Trackpad 2 moves from firmware 3.1.1 to 3.1.8, and the 140W USB‑C Power Adapter advances from 1.4.73 to 1.4.84.
  • Installation occurs automatically when the accessories are actively paired to devices running iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, or visionOS.
  • Apple did not detail the changes, and these mark the first firmware refresh for the USB‑C Magic Trackpad and Magic Keyboard since their October 2024 launch.
