Overview

• The second public betas, corresponding to developer beta 5, went live August 7 and are downloadable via each device’s Settings app for enrolled testers.
• All updates adopt Apple’s Liquid Glass aesthetic, featuring transparent, rounded menus, icons and subtle animations.
• On-device AI tools expand across platforms with Visual Intelligence for screenshots, Live Translation in Messages and phone apps, Workout Buddy on watchOS 26 and Apple Music Sing on tvOS 26.
• macOS Tahoe adds a customizable Control Center and menu bar, a Phone app with Wi-Fi calling and Call Screening, an overhauled Spotlight and a new Games app.
• tvOS 26 introduces a karaoke mode using an iPhone as a microphone, lyric translation and pronunciation tools, new aerial screensavers and permanent AirPlay speaker settings.
