The bug was discovered by Craig Hockenberry, founder of Iconfactory, and reported to Apple in mid-November.
Apple also released updates for iPhone (iOS 17.2.1 and iOS 16.7.4) and iPad (iPadOS 17.2.1 and iPadOS 16.7.4), but did not issue release notes for these updates.
Users are advised to update their Mac as soon as possible to avoid any potential screen sharing mishaps.
