Overview
- Apple seeded iOS 27 developer beta 2 to registered developers on Monday as build 24A5370h, available over the air in Settings > General > Software Update for eligible iPhones.
- Beta 2 surfaces visible Siri features, including a systemwide Write with Siri button above the keyboard and a standalone Siri app with conversation management and multi‑delete options.
- Wallet gains an Insights splash screen that will let users link accounts for spending, recurring transactions and balances, with Apple saying an Apple‑owned subsidiary will fetch and standardize account data and will not store it; the feature is not yet active in this beta.
- Messages improves RCS with inline replies and proper image tapback display for Android users, and the Home app can now remotely update a connected Apple TV from its Updates section.
- Apple continues to treat iOS 27 as a staged rollout: the OS supports iPhone 11/SE2 and newer while full Apple Intelligence requires newer hardware, several AI features will not initially be available in the EU because of regulatory work, and Apple plans a public beta in July with a final release this fall.
