Overview
- The update is rolling out now to iPhone 11 and later, plus supported iPad Pro, iPad Air, iPad mini and iPad (8th gen and newer) models.
- Apple lists 56 patches across components including WebKit (CVE-2025-43495), the kernel, the Neural Engine and Stolen Device Protection (CVE-2025-43422).
- New additions include a tinted Liquid Glass option, AirPods Live Translation for Chinese, Japanese, Korean and Italian, Apple Music UI changes and AutoMix over AirPlay, USB mic gain control and manual workout logging.
- Apple says iOS 26.1 also fixes issues such as keyboard glitches and devices unexpectedly sleeping when certain Lock Screen apps are in use.
- Related updates for iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, watchOS, visionOS, Safari and Xcode are available, and there is currently no parallel iOS 18 security release for devices capable of running iOS 26.
