Overview
- The redesigned Health app returned in the iOS 27.3 developer beta on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, and Apple said the app will be offered as a free software update to all users later this year.
- Apple expanded language support beyond U.S. English to include global English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish and Vietnamese.
- A new Longevity tab centers on Health Age, which uses Apple Watch metrics such as VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep and heart rate variability and can include lab results like A1c and LDL cholesterol to show long-term trends.
- At-home movement evaluations use an iPhone camera plus Apple Watch to measure flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics and estimate VO2 max with on-device vision models that Apple says do not record, store or share video.
- Several features require specific hardware or age thresholds — for example Health Age needs an Apple Watch and the VO2 max estimate needs an Apple Watch plus AirPods Pro 3 or a third-party heart-rate sensor — and some Apple Intelligence functions may rely on server-side models that have daily limits or could become a paid tier.
