Apple Raises AppleCare+ Prices for Mac and iPad in U.S. and Canada

The changes apply only to new subscriptions and make AppleCare One’s $19.99 monthly multi-device plan relatively more economical.

Overview

  • Apple quietly updated AppleCare+ pricing in mid-July, with the increases first spotted in the U.S. and then confirmed in Canada.
  • For most Mac models AppleCare+ annual plans rose by $10 and three-year plans rose by $30, while the Mac Pro was not increased.
  • Every iPad model listed saw a $1 monthly rise and a $20 increase to the two-year plan, and a two-year Apple Watch SE plan fell by $6.
  • Existing AppleCare+ customers keep their current rates because the new prices apply only to new subscriptions.
  • The modest per-device hikes follow other Apple price increases this year and could make the multi-device AppleCare One plan a cheaper option for families and users with multiple devices.
