Overview
- Apple released the first developer beta of iOS 27.3 this week and is testing a large set of system and app changes before a reported public rollout in December 2026.
- The Health app returns with an Insights tab and a Longevity feature that calculates a user's Health Age using Apple Watch metrics such as resting heart rate, heart rate variability and VO2max.
- Siri's AI is given new powers to perform actions inside apps, including recalling sent Mail messages, unsubscribing from newsletters and managing Safari tabs, but those Siri AI features are not available in the European Union.
- System and device updates include Safari vertical tabs and an adaptive dark mode, one‑hand mode and an adjusted outer‑display keyboard for the foldable iPhone Duo, and StandBy support extended to iPhone 11 and later.
- Several additions require specific conditions or payments: the Health features need Apple Watch data and some English localization, Freeform creator tools sit behind a Creator‑Studio subscription, and regional or regulatory limits may block AI features in parts of Europe.
