Apple iOS 26.0.2 with bug fixes is coming soon

Overview

  • MacRumors’ server logs indicate Apple is internally testing iOS 26.0.2, a minor release expected to focus on bug fixes and security patches rather than new features.
  • Apple today seeded developers with iOS 26.1 beta 3, adding Apple Intelligence support for eight more languages and extending AirPods Live Translation to Japanese, Korean, Italian, and Chinese.
  • The iOS 26.1 beta also brings UI tweaks such as Liquid Glass on the Phone keypad, a new swipe gesture to change tracks in Apple Music, and visual refinements across Calendar, Safari, and Photos.
  • Companion maintenance for macOS is also in the works, with reporting of macOS 26.0.2 under test on an unreleased base 14-inch MacBook Pro thought to use Apple’s M5 chip.
  • Procedurally, Apple has asked a court for a default judgment against Jon Prosser in its iOS 26 leak lawsuit, while co-defendant Michael Ramacciotti received an extension to respond until October 17.
