MacRumors found Apple backend code listing Cadillac on an internal roster for Wallet’s NFC car key integration.
Apple has added preparatory backend entries for GM, Voyah, and Smart, signaling platform readiness ahead of manufacturer rollouts.
GM has not announced timing or which Cadillac models will support the feature, and activation requires GM-side firmware, app, and server updates.
Apple confirmed at WWDC 2025 that 13 brands would add digital car key support, including Cadillac, Acura, Porsche, GMC, Chevrolet, Rivian, Smart, Lucid, Tata, Hongqi, WEY, Chery, and Voyah.
Apple’s digital car keys let iPhone and Apple Watch users lock, unlock, and start compatible vehicles via NFC, a capability supported in Wallet since 2022.
