Apple Prepares AI-Driven Mail App Overhaul for macOS

The redesigned Mail app, expected in macOS 15.4 this April, will include AI-powered inbox categorization and enhanced writing tools.

Apple's Mail app for macOS will introduce AI-based inbox sorting, categorizing emails into Primary, Transactions, Updates, and Promotions.
The update, expected with macOS 15.4 in April, follows similar features already available on iPhone and iPad since iOS 18.2.
Additional features include Writing Tools for email drafting and editing, Smart Replies, and email thread summaries.
Users will have the option to disable the categorization feature or revert to the classic inbox view if preferred.
The update is part of Apple's broader push into AI, including upcoming enhancements to Siri and other Apple Intelligence tools.
