Apple Nears Launch of M5-Powered iPad Pro and MacBook Pro

No major design changes are expected for the M5 iPad Pro or MacBook Pro, following significant overhauls in previous iterations and with redesigns planned for 2026 and beyond.
The M5 iPad Pro is codenamed J817, J818, J820, and J821, continuing Apple's strategy of iterative hardware updates for its flagship devices.
Looking ahead, Apple is developing an M6 iPad Pro with an in-house 5G modem for a 2027 release, marking a major step in its silicon roadmap.
