Overview

  • Starting today, Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, Apple Music Country, Apple Música Uno, Apple Music Club, and Apple Music Chill are streaming on TuneIn for the first time outside the Apple Music app.
  • The channels play without commercials across TuneIn’s mobile apps, website, smart speakers, and supported cars, reaching an audience TuneIn reports at more than 75 million monthly users.
  • TuneIn placements include calls to action that direct listeners to Apple Music to subscribe for the full service.
  • The integration covers only Apple’s live, human‑curated stations, with algorithmic stations remaining exclusive to paying Apple Music subscribers.
  • Coverage frames the partnership as a response to market shifts, noting Apple Music’s U.S. share fell to about 25% in 2024 as Spotify rose to roughly 37%, with global Apple share near 12%.
