Apple Maps Brings Look Around Feature to Web Browsers

The Street View-like functionality is now accessible on major browsers, expanding beyond Apple devices.

Apple has added its Look Around feature to the beta web version of Apple Maps, allowing users to explore areas with 360-degree street-level views.
Previously exclusive to Apple devices, the feature is now compatible with Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on Macs, iPads, and Windows PCs.
Look Around is available in select cities across the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Japan, and more, with Apple planning to expand coverage to additional countries and rural areas.
The web version of Apple Maps still lacks some features present in the app, such as 3D buildings, transit maps, and the ability to save locations.
Apple Maps' web access, introduced in July 2024, aims to compete with Google Maps by offering enhanced functionality and prioritizing user privacy.
