Overview
- Apple announced AppleCare One Family as a U.S.-only option that becomes available on September 14 and covers eligible devices owned across an Apple Family Sharing group of up to six people for a flat $49.99 monthly fee.
- The plan includes the same core benefits as AppleCare+, offering accidental damage repairs, battery service, priority Apple support, and theft and loss protection for eligible iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch models.
- Families are limited to six total claims per year across the group and can add eligible devices from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac, with most devices under four years old accepted if in good working condition.
- Newly purchased eligible devices are added automatically at no extra cost and subscribers manage membership by setting up Family Sharing and inviting up to five other people in Settings.
- AppleCare One Family expands Apple’s multi-device strategy launched in July 2025 with AppleCare One, which covered up to three products for $19.99 per month and has since rolled out to other countries.
