Apple iPhone 16 Models Now Support 45W Wired Fast Charging

The new iPhone 16 lineup can charge significantly faster with USB-C, reaching up to 45W, a major upgrade from the previous 29W limit.

All iPhone 16 models support up to 45W of wired fast charging through the USB-C port, a substantial increase from the 29W limit of the iPhone 15 series.
Certification from the China Quality Certification Center confirms the new charging capabilities, tested at 5-15 volts and 3 amps.
Apple did not highlight the faster wired charging speeds during its announcement, focusing instead on the improved 25W wireless MagSafe charging.
The new iPhones can achieve a 50% charge in 30 minutes with a 20W USB-C adapter, and potentially faster with a 45W charger.
The iPhone 16 models will be available for pre-order starting September 13, with deliveries beginning September 20.
