Apple Increases iPhone 16 Pro Battery Replacement Fee by 20%

The cost to replace the battery in the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max is now $119, up from $99 for previous models.

The new $119 fee applies only to the Pro models; the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus retain the $99 battery replacement fee.
Customers with AppleCare+ can still get battery replacements for free if the battery's health drops below 80% of its original capacity.
The price hike follows a similar increase in 2023 when Apple raised the battery replacement cost for the iPhone 14 series.
Teardowns expected on September 20th may provide more insight into the new battery technology used in the iPhone 16 Pro models.
