Overview

  • Foxconn is set to begin assembly in late Q3 or early Q4 2025 ahead of mass production in the second half of 2026
  • Apple has placed orders for 15–20 million foldable iPhones to cover projected demand over a two- to three-year lifecycle
  • The device is expected to feature a book-style fold with a 7.8-inch inner screen, a 5.5-inch outer screen, and under-display cameras
  • Apple may rely on Touch ID instead of Face ID to maintain a slim profile of approximately 4.5 mm when unfolded and 9–9.5 mm when folded
  • Pricing is expected to range from $2,000 to $2,500, positioning the foldable iPhone as a premium addition to the iPhone 18 series
