Apple Expands Tap to Pay on iPhone to Five More European Countries

The feature now allows businesses in Austria, Czech Republic, Ireland, Romania, and Sweden to accept contactless payments using iPhones.

Tap to Pay on iPhone enables merchants to use their iPhones as contactless payment terminals, eliminating the need for additional hardware.
The service supports contactless payments via Apple Pay, credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets, with transactions encrypted for security.
Apple has partnered with payment platforms like Adyen, SumUp, and Viva.com to launch the service in the newly added countries.
Additional payment platforms such as Stripe, Global Payments, and Revolut are also available in select new markets.
With this expansion, Tap to Pay on iPhone is now available in a total of 17 countries worldwide.
