Apple Expands iPhone Roadside Assistance to Include Verizon

The service, already available with AAA, is now accessible for U.S.-based customers with a Verizon sim and a device running iOS 17.2.

  • Apple's iPhone 14 and 15 now offer access to Verizon's roadside assistance service for U.S.-based customers with a Verizon sim and a device running iOS 17.2.
  • Verizon's 24/7 roadside assistance requires a $4.99 monthly subscription fee but Verizon customers get flat fees for pay-per-use. Services include towing, tire change, battery jump start, fuel delivery, and more.
  • Apple already offers this service in partnership with AAA, helping drivers stay connected in emergency situations even without access to cellular service.
  • The new Verizon feature will open up the service for more customers. Apple also recently expanded its Emergency SOS service, offering an additional year of free access to the feature for new iPhone 14 users.
  • Satellite connectivity is free for two years for iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 customers. Apple hasn’t announced how it will handle pricing in the future, but the original two year deal was extended through 2025.
