Apple Expands AirPods Pro Hearing Test to Nine New Countries

The iOS 18.2 update introduces advanced hearing aid features and a hearing test to additional regions, enhancing accessibility for users with mild-to-moderate hearing loss.

The AirPods Pro 2 hearing test, first launched in October 2024 with iOS 18.1, will now be available in nine more countries through the iOS 18.2 update.
Newly supported countries include Cyprus, Czechia, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Romania, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.
The hearing test allows users to detect potential hearing loss by measuring their response to various sound frequencies and offers personalized settings to use AirPods as hearing aids.
In the United Arab Emirates, iOS 18.2 also enables AirPods Pro 2 to function as clinical-grade hearing aids for users with mild-to-moderate hearing loss.
The hearing health features require AirPods Pro 2 with firmware version 7B19 or newer, paired with devices running iOS 18.1 or later.
