Apple Debuts AI-Powered Emoji Game on News+ for World Emoji Day

Subscribers in the U.S. alongside English-speaking Canada can now solve three emoji-enhanced puzzles per day using AI-generated Genmoji with leaderboards on Game Center

Overview

  • Emoji Game is available from July 17 on iPhone, iPad and Mac running iOS 18.4, iPadOS 18.4 or macOS 15.4 or later for Apple News+ subscribers.
  • Each daily challenge tasks players with completing three short phrases by dragging standard emojis or AI-generated Genmoji into blank spaces.
  • Players have six moves per puzzle and can request hints that count toward their total while tracking their performance on Game Center leaderboards.
  • Archived puzzles and daily challenges live in the News app’s Puzzles section, and results can be shared via Messages, Mail and social platforms.
  • The new title joins Apple News+’s existing suite of daily games and will integrate into the Apple Games app this fall as part of iOS 26
