Overview
- Apple released the redesigned Health app in the iOS 27.3 developer beta, expanding language support to global English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, French, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.
- The app centers Apple Intelligence-powered sections called Insights, For You, and Longevity to surface daily summaries, tailored recommendations, and long-term trend views.
- Health Age uses Apple Watch measurements such as VO2 max, resting heart rate, sleep, and heart rate variability and can include lab results like A1c and LDL to show how a user’s body compares with their chronological age.
- New at-home movement evaluations use an iPhone camera plus Apple Watch to measure flexibility, strength, balance, movement mechanics, and VO2 max, and Apple says the vision models run on device with no video recorded, stored, or shared.
- Some features require specific hardware or conditions, for example an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad and an Apple Watch for Health Age, the VO2 max estimate needs an Apple Watch or a supported heart-rate sensor, users must be 18 or older for some tests, and Apple plans a free public rollout later this year after the beta.
