Overview
- Apple and Charter’s Spectrum SportsNet confirmed a partnership to deliver a selection of live Los Angeles Lakers matchups in Apple Immersive during the 2025–26 season, with the game schedule to be announced later this fall.
- The first immersive live stream is slated for early 2026 on a new Spectrum SportsNet app for Vision Pro, with live access limited to the Lakers’ broadcast territory covering Southern California, Hawaii, and parts of southern Nevada including Las Vegas.
- Watching live requires an Apple Vision Pro running visionOS 26 plus an eligible Spectrum subscription or Spectrum Internet authentication, with regional restrictions applied for certain events.
- Full-game replays and highlights in Apple Immersive will be available on demand one to three days after each game via the Spectrum SportsNet and NBA apps, with the NBA app offering access in select countries such as the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, and the UAE.
- Production will use Blackmagic Design’s URSA Cine Immersive Live camera and a high-bandwidth pipeline with streams reported up to about 150 Mbps, delivering 180-degree 3D video with spatial audio.
